The test consists in winding the synthetic rope on the clamps of the testing machine; unrolling at the time of clamping must be avoided as much as possible for this reason the specimen is wrapped and centered using a centering ring. The final fixing takes place mechanically using a screw. One clamp remains blocked while the other is activated by an electric mechanism which leads to breakage of the wire and thanks to the load cell installed on the machine the force and elongation data of are recorded.
